The Kelsey Museum participated in Ann Arbors second annual Sally Ride Science Fair on Saturday, September 20. The fair, which is held in various venues across the country, offers booths and workshops that encourage and inspire young girls to pursue professions in science. Kelsey docent Mary Freiman, pictured at left, helped to staff the Kelsey booth, while Interdepartmental Program in Classical Art and Archaeology graduate students Karen Johnson and Jane Rempel conducted Discovery Workshops on the science of archaeology. The Ann Arbor fair drew 1,000 participants.
